A mother reaches for her phone and quickly pulls up her son’s grades from college. Just as the awards are displayed on the walls as clearly as the Chinese food pictures on the menu are, a proud mom is quick to show off the success of her children. That success may be attributed to the pseudo-office which has taken over the corner booth. All the necessities to study and succeed academically are present, as the priority of the family is evidence through  just that space.
